Gates of the Arctic National Park & Preserve

In 2007, Carl was the first photographer selected to serve as the Artist-in-Residence for the second largest national park in Alaska (and the United States), Gates of the Arctic National Park & Preserve. The only park in the U.S. consisting entirely of designated wilderness, Gates of the Arctic lies entirely north of the Arctic Circle in the Brooks Range. Carl has returned to the park several times to capture its beauty.
